Hi Guys,

Well I have my car apart again....Took the body off to do a repair for a crack and minor damage. Taking the opportunity to clean up a bunch of odds and ends. Cleaning up the mess of tangled spaghetti behind the dash. I have the RF harness and the heater from FF. It has worked sporadically over the 1st 2000 miles. I noticed I did not have it wire to the heater wire on the harness. When I do that it instantly blows the fuse. Reading through the threads yesterday I see where some people have removed the blue wire with the circuit breaker. I did that and ran the harness wire straight to it - blown fuse. So I just ran a 12 volt hot wire off the ignition to the switch...viola it worked....until the ignition wire started burning! I know the answer it in front of my eyes but....Help!

PJ, you get it figured out? I was in the garage doing some wiring and I checked the instructions for the heater. The wiring looks very straight forward, but as I was mocking things up, I had some of the wires come off the switch. Any possibility yours did the same and you got it hooked back up incorrectly? On my switch it looked like one spade connector wasn't used and may have been marked as "C" in the wiring diagram. Don't know if it's another common and causing a short if it's hooked up.

Good luck. Let me know if you need another set of eyes.
