Hey Guys,

I have been talking to a friend of mine who makes parts for just about any car you can imagine (BMW, Porsche, Mini, etc). I have alot of his parts on my other race car. I was wanting a lighter, adjustable, metric control arm/ lateral link. Just seeing if there is interest in a custom set of metric adjustable control arms/lateral links. These are the high, high quality stuff- in no way ebay parts. If there is enough interest, He or I will become a site vendor.

Basically a pair control arms (Lateral links), custom made for the 818 (R and S) size, adjustable, with correct bearing spacers, 1.3 pounds each for around ~$250 for a pair, lower if more people jump on board. No need to pay Cusco prices for better arms.

They would look similar to these-

1.3 pounds

Version 2

Slightly beefier and heavier- costs slightly more.

Again, just gauging interest. These are not at all made yet for the 818 and you cant buy them. Let me know.

Those look super sexy. Are you thinking about a set of 4 or just the rears? Remember the rear at R ride height uses a 9/16 bolt, the others are all M12.

Just a set for me since I have the SPT pair in the front.

I'm interested. I'd prefer the heavier-duty ones.

Do you know what rod ends will be used? QA1, FK, Aurora?

Best,

Actually I went to fit all my lateral links last night and I have no idea what to use for the rear bolt. 9/16 (great fit) or M14 (good fit) is a good fit for the bushing, but not for the frame. Frame is more like 5/8 m16 is too big.

did you use the camber bolts?

I was ready to order the MSI ones but i'm concerned now.

He uses FK because they preload them to his spec.

I know M14's fit on some. I need to remeasure, but all mine fit good and they are all metric. Keep in mind, I have the SPT sphereical bearing links. Two pair had smaller openings for the smaller holes, I just forgot which one is which since it has been a long time since I installed them.
