I am in the middle of writing up the overview of the incredible weekend in HB I just had, and I remembered I had acquired a precious few VERY INTERESTING PICS from a certain Mr. Smith during the show.

Here is a sample!:

Looks like a new FFR model forum is going to be in order soon!!

Do I detect a early Mustang hood and fender? But why the GM performance sign ?

Nope, nothing to do with Mustangs, and the GM sign is just a reflection, not intended to have any meaning.

The shape of the hood scoop is a clue...

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Gotta see where my wife hid the checkbook. Looks like I may have found a solution for the track car I've been considering.

No bump out for the running lights: I see FFR going for an authentic looking track car (FIA). Show us some more!

Thanks, David.

That's going to make some people happy, eh?

Cool pictures David. I assume since they are still up, that you had permission to post them... (;-o)

Great shots!

There are 3 gens of AC C***a(can't say the name) MKI, MKII, and MKIII
The MKI is the slabside. Some debate on the hood scoop, if it was an option or not. Has the rectangular tail lights. Came with either a 260 or 289 and was produced from 1962-63

MKII (also known as the FIA) is the first gen with fender flares. Has the small hood scoop. Has the rectangular tail lights. Came with a 289 and was produced from 1963-65

MKIII has wider fender flares then the MKII. Has the more rounded mouth. Came with a 427 or 289 and was produced from 1965-67

That is awsome
about time.
A 289 FIA.
I have been waiting for FFR to build this for years.
I wonder if they are going to bring it to the KIt Car Carlisle show?

Mark, when is that show? Dave has stated that the first unveiling will be at open house...

289 FIA ... Hooray! The nose opening is a tell-tale. Of course, I cheated ... been talking with a certain FFR guru from L.A.

Love the FIA look, as well as the MkI.

I think the girlfriend needs one.

I think he wants a slabside?

I think mostly he wants to badger Dave and now he will have to come up with something different to pester him about.
