Anyone have a problem with their front bike fenders cracking. I put mine on and they both crack within 30 miles of driving. The crack is right at the edge of where the thick inside flat wall meets the top thinner curved piece. See pic I did modify mine by rounding the front and back cutting some off of the inside flange. It doesn't seem like that would make it crack so quickly ( from vibration?) but I'm looking for some thoughts on this. The fenders sit about 3/4" off of the tire. Thanks.

2000 miles on mine, no issues

Thanks Jay. Did you cut any out of the inside flange for asthetics and or trim the front or back?

I did trim off the length of my fenders. I only removed enough material on the inside to clear the suspension.

That looks like a material fatigue crack, Was there a lot of air disturbance causing the outer edge to move up and down?

Thanks Jay - I will definitely cut out less this next time.
Doug - Calm day, top speed probably 60 mph for a short period of time. There were scuff marks on the inside of the fender. I don't know if that happened before or after the crack. However, I am beginning to believe that there was enough flex in the fender that it may have caught the tire and a hard bump in the road and that's what caused it. But to have both sides do it, in such a short time is a bit baffling.

I will be home next week and can post a photo of my fenders.
