I know asking this will show my ignorance, but does the 2006 WRX wagon have aluminum control arms like the sedan?

Nope, the WRX wagon doesn't have the wide track, it has the black stamped steel LCAs. I used an 06 WRX wagon as a donor; kinda wish I has the Al arms, but not enough to buy them when my donor's are in perfect shape.

Thank you for the quick reply, and not mocking me. :-)

Not all all... I was ignorant until I picked up my donor. Since it was a 06 WRX, I was expecting Aluminum LCAs; when I saw the steel I was a bit bummed.

The aluminum arms are only about $300... I'm struggling with my stock trailing arms... stock stamped steel looks out of place with all the tubular adjustable links! I should buy a tubular set and swap it out!

The 06 WRX wagon that I took apart did have aluminum front control arms. Unfortunately one of them is bent. The car was suppose to be perfect.
I also took apart a 06 Impreza that did not have aluminum control arms. No big surprise there.
Ebay has plenty of aluminum LCA's.

Does 06/07 wagon have the 4/2 pot brakes?

Nice paint job and decal on the caliper, that looks great!

Thanks! Once nice thing about a west coast donor... no 'bucket of doom' de-rusting required! I didn't bother rebuilding my calipers, just cleaned them up, sprayed some duplicolor caliper red, added the decal, turned the rotors, and put new pads on.
The nice thing about the 06-07 brakes is that the 'Subaru' is just paint so you can put your own decal on. Some other 4-pots have the name cast in, so if you want another look, you'd have to grind it off.

Seriously? That paint is out of a rattle can?

Yeah, works fine. and I'm really not a skilled sprayer.
