Factory Five customers Barry, Brent, and Kyle Musselman shared the news over the weekend that they have officially graduated FFR #7369 as their Mk4 Roadster is now officially registered in Pennsylvania!

Barry and Brent attended the 2010 Open House where they were able to see over a 100 customer-built Roadsters, tour the factory, meet with Dave Smith, and even get passed by a Factory Five Roadster on the way home in the rain. After that day, the father-son team never looked back and started their build in November 2010. Brent’s younger brother Kyle assisted with putting the Roadster together as well, and it even helped him complete some of his school projects at Drexel University.

The Musselman’s Mk4 Roadster features the FFR electric gauges, 3-link rear suspension, stainless sign exhaust, performance 11.65″ rear brakes, 17″ 5-lug Bullitt wheels, and stainless steel bumper kit. Brent mentions that the Factory Five community was always there to help answer questions whenever they hit a bump in the build, and that the Factory Five tech crew was also a huge help.

The Musselman’s registration came at the perfect time as they have it ready for the peek driving season in Pennsylvania. Maybe they’ll be up for a drive back to Wareham, MA for the upcoming Factory Five Open House this year…hint, hint…

Congratulations Barry, Brent, and Kyle on a great family build!

Great job with your build and it's always great to see a "family" project with these cars. Well done!

Barry, Brent and Kyle,

Congratulations on a great looking build. Where in PA are you located? I am in Dallas in NEPA. I also completed my Roadster this year - on March 1 - #7486 - but have not yet gotten it registered. Due to the awful winter and spring, it has barely been on the road since it was completed :-(. I'd be interested in chatting with you a bit about the registration process if you wouldn't mind- is there a number I can reach you at? You can send a private message to me on the forum if you would like. Anyway, congratulations again on some fine work and enjoy the riding...

Thanks for all the compliments! It sure is a blast to drive!

Dan, we are located about an hour north of Philadelphia near central Bucks county area. Congrats on your progress so far. Did you have any specific questions about the registration?

We had it registered as a specialty constructed vehicle. There is a form that needs to be taken to an enhanced inspection station, and they fill out the form while going through the checklist of requirements for the car. The station I went to also took the requisite photos that need to be sent in with the registration info. Once it is signed off on by the enhanced station, then you take it to a tag place to pay the sales tax and they will send in all of your forms and documentation along with the payment. After a few weeks PA should approve it and send you your title and VIN and plate. I believe the plate comes separate. Last step is to go back to the inspection station and get your inspection sticker for the windshield. Slap the license plate on and WHAMO, all done!
