Tremec Trans

Installing a Tremec in my car. There is a rubber boot on the back output shaft of the transmission. I have seen some guys remove the boot and others keep it. Which is correct?

Remove the plug inside but leave the boot.

If you plan on adding fluid to the trans, then leave the plug in until you are ready to install the driveshaft. Otherwise it will leak. The plug basically takes the place of the driveshaft spline until it is inserted.
