vintage air heater connection

Mine has a "shortstop" brand circuit breaker in the blue power wire. I have the Ron Francis harness and my kit is a mark 3.1. There is another post on this forum asking about eliminating the blue wire and using the brown wire that is marked for the heater in the harness. I am just concerned about whether the circuit breaker is for a higher or lower amperage than the fuse in the harness. Can you advise me as to whether these components match in terms of amperage and if it is safe to rely solely on the fuse?
