818 windshield replacement

One of my friends had a good question for me and I couldn't answer it. We get a lot of pitting on windshields from gravel on the roads here in Colorado. What windshield is used on the 818, so that I could replace it when needed?

I believe it's from a toyota MR2.

I have another windshield ques. I picked up my 818 last week. In addition to removing all fibergl. and alum. pieces before re-assembly, I am thinking that I also need to remove the windshield - right? Also, do I have someone permanently install the glass in the frame off the car, or after I bolt it back on to the chassis?

You can do it either way but if you do it on the car, you have to have the hood off. It's just easier with the frame off the car. Paint all of the area where the glass sits satin/flat black so you do not see the body color through the windshield.

The windshield has a sticker on it with the PPG part number. You might want to record the number in your manual.
