Hey Russ, tried searching around here & couldn't find anything on what your window kits were. Would you mind linking any prior thread for me (and anyone else as hopeless as I am ;) )

Thanks!

Matt, NO ONE is more helpless then me at this!:) I doubt there has been anything about my kit here on the new forum so that saves me a bit!

My kit is a poly carb window that seals the cockpit from all the air the clear rear brake scoops draws in when not wanted or needed but is hinged so you can use the air to cool the cockpit when it gets hot. It really works well and as ment I didn't even need the A/C until temps got to the mid 80's.

The kits include the main brackets made from stainless steel, poly carb windows, hinges, weather stripping, stainless mounting hardware and the latch asy. cost on these first kist is $85 plus $10.95 shipping.

Gary - great installation. Just received Russ's kit and looking to install. Could not help but notice from your picture that it appears you have added a trim piece on the outside bottom of the 1/4 window between the scoop and the plexi. Is that the case and if so what did you use, where did you source it and how is it attached?
Thanks, Mike

Mike,

My friend and master mechanic, Gary Jones, did the installation for me. Russ talked to him about the mods Gary made to the kit, so maybe you could PM Russ and he could help.

I know it has been awhile but can you help with the brake scoops. I have ordered the ones supplied for FFR, but having issues with them fitting my Gen 2 coupe.
When I bought my car it already had the quarter windows. They are great!
Thx

I have a coupe arriving soon but wanted to know if this kit is for coupes with windows or dies it work without the window kit. I know these cars can get hot in the cockpit. I don’t have a/c planned but plans can change. Outside air to help cool the inside is always a nice touch.
