Anybody install the oil temp sending unit in the large bung next to the dipstick hole in this oil pan?

Yes, I have the Smiths gauges and the oil temp sender fit perfectly in the Canton Tee pan and seems to work just fine.

Yes I have the same pan and used the location you mentioned for the temp sending unit. The reason I went with the Canton pan was that it came with the bung installed.
