Hi guys I have been searching the net for some818 video clips of the car driving on the street, I could not find to much other than on board cams. Does any body have a bystander view of the car? Looking for a inspiration while I wait another three weeks for delivery!! Thanks Don

Looks like you need practice if your going to use the top

Actually for me it's a motivator. Once the few snaps and mounts are installed on the car the top appears to go on easily and then it can be tightened by twisting the threaded arms, which I like a lot. It looks like a quality top that is tight and won't flap and flutter at speed. I'm more motivated to get to the point of needing it - gokarting comes first.

I agree with Pete. It looks like a good, quality piece. Personally, I also like the looks. I'm not so thrilled about the price, however...

I feel the same. I'm hoping someone will come out with a simple bikini top (stretched between the windshield and roll-bar), that's all I need to keep the sun off on hot days, and a little protection from a surprise shower. Maybe I'll try to produce one myself.

I agree on this one 100% my new top of the line jeep 4door top was less than $900 delivered to the house!

"jeep 4 door top was less than $900 delivered to the house." Volume has a huge impact on prices. When you forecast the number of Jeep tops to be sold it doesn't take much margin to cover the costs of development, materials and labor. But, now forecast the number of 818 tops to be sold - at any price - and calculate covering the development costs in ____(2, 3 or 4?) years. Based upon the roadster soft top, I expected to spend at least $3,000.

Awesome! Now that's what I call motivational. I love that boxer sound in such a gorgeous package.

Do you have to unzip and unsnap the window to open the door? It sure looks like it from the installation video. If so, how do you install the window if you don't want to stay inside?
