Hi,

I'm 4.6 litre. I started a Mk 4 planning thread last year. My planning activities are over and I'll be starting a build thread at the end of May when my FF Mk 4 Complete Kit arrives. I've been impressed by the many threads and blogs I've reviewed over the last 6 months. I really want to create a nice thread and blog. However, I don't know how to build a blog and I'm only avarage at doing threads. I had to get instructions from this Forum to learn how to post photographs and I haven't tried it yet. I still have 2 months to get my act together but if any of you can give me some advice on blogs and threads, I'd appreciate it.

I want to call my build thread something like Mk4 #### Build Thread. Can you tell me from where you get those reference numbers?

At this point I'm past the Rubicon. I'm on my way to build the roadster and I would apreciate your advice on building on a nice thread and blog.

Thanks,
4.6 Litre

Are you asking about the frame number from FFR? If you are, you won't have those numbers until you either receive your kit or the MSO.

Good luck with your build. There are several builders in your area so don't be afraid to ask for help.

I would just call it 4.6litre build thread. I would be able to remember that a lot easier than a serial number. You may want to try posting some pics beforehand just to get the process down. I use my cell phone, bluetooth the pic to my PC, upload to Photobucket, and then paste it here. It's one of those things that after 4-5 tries, it becomes much easier. I used to use a small digi camera and a cable to the PC but the phone is easier. One advantage w/ photobucket is that no matter the picture source and file size, photobucket automatically converts it into a version that works great here.

Thanks for the comments Ray and CraigS.

Received my final quote from Mike Forte for the Coyote package. I had him provide just about everything to augement the FFR Complete Kit. I'll punch Mike's ticket on Monday. Almost everything is on order. I quess I should begin that Build Thread now.

I don't see any pictures. Seriously, get working on that. Sign up for photobucket and post some pics there. Doesn't matter what they are, just get familiar w/ the program. Once you have them on photobucket, come on back here and I will be glad to help you get them here.

Here are the pictures you posted. The Photobucket links are OK, just formatted wrong:

Here's how I post from Photobucket. Pretty easy:

1. Start editing your post in the forum.

2. Open another browser window and go to Photobucket.

3. While editing your forum post, when you get to the point where you want to insert a picture, switch over to the Photobucket window.

4. Go to the picture you want to post. In the top RH corner of the screen is a box "Links to share this photo." Click on the middle one labeled "IMG." The box while change colors (mine turns yellow) and say "Copied."

5. Go back to your forum post. Do a paste command, either with the keyboard shortcut Ctrl-V or right click you mouse and click on "Paste."

6. The necessary IMG code will paste into your forum. Don't change anything! When you save or preview, the picture will show.

7. You can keep putting in more text or more pictures, but there is a limit. I think 7, but I'm not positive.

Note there are several other ways, and others will post them. Do what is easiest for you. All end up doing the same thing. But this works. Good luck.
