How's insurance on a '65 Coupe?
Does a regular insurance company even know what to do with one or do you have to go with a specialty company?
What's the annual run?
Thanks - more later, I'm sure.

Welcome to the forum. When I had a coupe my insurance was handled by the same company that does my roadster. I went with a specialty company because they also insure my other collector cars.

There have been several discussions regarding insurance over the years. Some people have had luck with Allstate and others, combining their regular cars and their roadster or coupe. Others have had no luck with them at all, I think it depends on which state and agent you talk with. I went with Midwest on my roadster, and will go with a specialty company for my coupe. Most have reasonable rules regarding mileage, usually around 5-6,000 miles a year. I could also lower that based on my driving and found 3,000 miles covered my yearly driving in the roadster. It is also usually less expensive. And welcome to the club.

It cost me $400.00 a year with a company that set an agreed upon value, for my roadster, and 3000 or less miles driven per year

I have been using Hagerty for about 15 years for a variety of classic/vintage cars, they are great. I have my coupe project insured through them for $30K. Includes nice things like trailering coverage during the build, and automatic value increase as the build progresses.
