my donor came with rear drum brakes and the irs bracket is in the way of the brake line coming out of the wheel cylinder. FFR is aware of this but has not found a solution yet. im thinking of switching over to disks if i can find a set . does anyone know if i have to change the type of master cylinder also when i switch to a rear disk setup vs the stock rear drum system? any advise taken

Welcome to the conversion fun!

I have rear drums on my dead donor. Ended up buying salvaged spindles with disks and swap around.
But I never thought about the master cylinder.

I hope the MC doesn't need to be changed, I am interested to see what the answer is.

I believe the hand brake cables may need to be changed as well.

fixed the brake problem at autozone new short m10 brakelines with m10 inverted flare fittings bent at 45 degrees
and a m10 union back to the old hoses works great cost about $30

Just grab them off of Ebay. Make sure its a West Coast care- much cleaner parts.
