I know this question has probably been asked a lot on this forum but I am looking for advice on tires. I have 17", 10.5's on the rear and 9.0 on the front. With the wider wheels on the back I know that options are a little more limited. I am looking for a tire that would perform well both on the street and on the track. Leaning toward the Kumho Ecsta xs 335/35r's in the back and 275/40r's on the front but considering Nittos as well.

I'm running the Kumho Ecsta XS on my coupe. I've done quite a bit of track time with them. They are not an all-out race tire but a nice compromise for street/track time. I'm running 315's on the back and 275's on the front. I'm very happy with them.

I agree that the Kumho XS is a great tire. I ran those tires on my track/One Lap car for several years. Great dry and warm tire, just be careful in the cold and wet. They are like driving on ice then.

Kuhmo's in 315 are on terminal backorder and have no production date. 335's are to wide for a 10.5" wheel. They really need a 12". The Nitto 555's and NT05's are very good cost effective tires. I would also recommend a 255 on the front. It will fit the 9" wheel better and steer much lighter if you are using manual steering.

I have Nitro NT05s on my roadster and am quite pleased, though no track time, yet. Many have shifted to NT01s from the Ecsta XS and have been quite pleased with their performance, not to mention availability.

While Kumho makes some great tires they have a very weird production system that hasn't changed in at least 5 years. I ran into it trying to buy V710s and continue to see comments like above. They make them in batches as best as I can understand. The problem is that a given tire can be out of stock for over a year at a time. Based on that I wouldn't buy them.
