Can anyone give me some advice on the best way to extend O2 sensor leads on a Modular engine? I was told that many are made of stainless wire?? And cant be soldered? Ive got to extend my post cat sensors by about 4'.
Thanks

You can solder them I just used regular 16 or 18 guage wire and soldered in what I needed. No big deal, No codes and it works. I ahve done theis e several times wiht no issues.

Put them to far away and they won't work as they won't get hot enough..perhaps the modular engine has the 02's with a heater element?

Thanks AC Bill
This certainly could be the issue. The side the eingine is staying cool on has the pre cat O2 sensor in its the original location the others Ive fitted to the the cat converter FFR supplied. The side that is getting hot has them installed in the cat and that is getting extremely hot.. So Im confused.

Chris, I bought O2 sensor extensions from the Detail Zone which had the right connectors and worked well on my 4.6
