I will be picking up my 818 kit in about a week. I have ordered the front street splitter as an option. I have also read that it is aerodynamically most effective when "sealed"/closed to the body. I noticed yesterday during my FFR visit that there is about a 3-4 inch gap between the splitter and the horizontal aluminum panel. Anyone have any experience or ideas about how one would close off this gap?

I have the splitter on my car and there is a aluminum panel that connects the splitter to the panel next to it going back. The bottom is flat all the way back to the engine,

when i read the FFR comment about the gap, I assumed they were talking about the middle section where the lower body line curves upward, leaving a gap between the middle third of the bumper and the splitter. Wallace18 - since you have one to look at, does this make sense that this opening would need to be blocked off to optimize airflow?

ayone have pics of the undertray of the car? I installed my splitter on the front and bottom but I don't have a panel to fill the gap between the battery tray and the front splitter. Also is there supposed to be any additional panels to fill the opening underneath the engine as well where the rear splitter does not cover up?
