Ok you forum wizards...anyone run into a problem with the studs on wilwood pedal box not being long enough?? When I put the master cylinder on and tried to run the nut tight it didn't reach the nylon end of the nut. I double nutted the stud and tried to back it out a few turns but couldn't get it to budge and I didn't want to strip or break the stud. Can I get away with a jam nut and lock title???

That's what I did---still tight after four years.

You can run nylon fishing line through the nut before putting it on the stud. This will create the equivalent of a nylon lock nut. I use this fairly often, and tie a knot to keep the line on while starting the nut. Several of the network car-build shows have shown this technique. I usually use locktite, however, but nail polish will work the same. Another option is mixing Gorilla glue with superglue, but this is the equivalent of the locktite red and you will probably need heat to get it loose.

A lock washer will work.

Thanks for the suggestions... I did get 4 out of 6 studs to back out till they were flush with the back of the pedal box, but I still had to use the half-lock nuts from local shop. 2712827129
