Need tricks to make a fine adjusment of the cable clutch ?
Too loose, I cannot engage gears ; too stiff, a friend told me I could burn the bearing and I must keep an free inch on my cluth pedal.
If I keep an inch free on my clutch pedal , I cannot engage gears whwnthe motot runs.
Ideas ? Suggestions ?

You really only need a little free play. The Ford TO bearing is designed to ride the clutch a bit. Set the pedal for 1/4" free play and you should find shifting much easier.

I forgot to identify my transmission : it is a Tremec TKO 600 , 5 speed maybe it is important ...

No difference. Just adjust until you can shift it easily and whatever free play you get is enough.

I have a 408w with TKO 600 and a RAM clutch. I did what the pedal box wanted me to do and went with a hydraulic clutch setup. Operates smoothly and was perfect from my first gokart. They look cool too :)
Just something to consider.

For making those fine adjustments, try something like these adjusters at summit, jegs or the supplier of your choice. http://www.summitracing.com/search/Department/Drivetrain/Make/FORD/Model/MUSTANG/Part-Type/Clutch-Cable-Firewall-Adjusters/?Ns=Rank|Asc
I thought that I had bought mine from Breeze but when I looked at his website I couldn't find it.

Breeze sells a firewall adjuster.
Or you could use an adjustable cable (I used a steeda one) - some people say the adjustable cables fail prematurely, but mine has been fine for 2+yrs.
One important thing you'll need is a pedal stop on the clutch - what I did was bolt a piece of aluminum onto the footbox rail. Then I drilled multiple 1/4'' holes along it. Then I run a bolt, washers, lock nut through it - the clutch pedal smacks the bolt and doesn't go any further.
I find that whenever the clutch cable loosens I need to snug it up at the adjustable end (by the clutch fork), and then re-adjust my pedal stop.
Proper alignment is critical - not enough and you won't go into gear, too much and you'll cause the clutch to bind.
