Hey FFR,
After hearing so much about you guys (and ladies), i've decided to jump in, get my feet wet and start the research/planning process. my soon to be wife and i are looking to get a house shortly and with said house...a nice 2 car garage that will need a project. my best friend's father, Steve, has a gorgeous MK4 from FFR and has been raving about you guys since he first dreamt up his beast. My dad has raced in SCCA and knows his way around a garage or two so, (with his help) i'm looking to possibly get into a 818S. i've got some feelers out there for a 2006 WRX w/ turbo for the donor and should all the peices come together (and the research/finances) in the coming months, quite possibly i'll have my kit ordered. till then i might ask some random questions about wheels, aftermarket stuff and whatnot but for the most part i'll be quiet. I have to say i'm thoroughly impressed by some of the builds so far, which, aside from cost is the reason i'm looking at FFR.

Welcome to the forum. The bar keeps getting higher every year when it comes to build quality. Do not keep quiet, the more questions you ask the fewer mistakes or second thoughts later.

Thanks Doug, i will certainly have questions. perhaps you could help me already -
do we have a thread for recommended equipment/tools needed for a build? (not including paint, paint prep)

Yes there have been several over the years. There is a search function up in the top right of the page to help you find what you are looking for.

Where in NJ are you located? There is a monthly breakfast at the Chesterhills Diner, RT206 in Chester, NJ. Usually the second Sunday of the month. Just watch the forum for the announcements.
Also, plenty of FFR's and Cobra owners in general are all over NJ. Your location may be near a group or two.

Hey Bill,
I live in Hackettstown, but we're looking for a home in the Stroudsburg/East Stroudsburg area of the Poconos.
I'd love to check them out sometime, Steve's Cobra was the only car i've ever been scared ****less in lol
