can I see some pictures of your routing of the throttle cable and the bracket you used on your carb?

Here are some photos of what I did for my throttle cable. I have a powerjection EFI, which has throttle linkage similar to a carb. There was no bracket for the throttle cable with the FFR or Powerjection kits, so I ended up making my own out of some 1/8 inch metal stock I had.

I do not have a good picture of the cable routing, but I basically ran it out the front of the footbox, curved it back towards the firewall and then curved it back again to the bracket. I used some clips to hold it in place alongside the footbox. I am out of town but can post some other pictures later if you are interested. Once I fastened the cable to my bracket on the throttle body I cut it to the proper length and attached the stud retainer and connected it to the linkage. So far it has worked fine - I have go karted 15-20 miles or so, with lots of engine starts in between. At some point I may retro-fit to mechanical linkage, but am satisfied with this for now.

Hope this helps.

You can see mine here. It is a Summit brand one but the same as the Holly one. You also need the Ford style cable adapter. My cable runs at the bottom of the valve cover then curves up to the bracket.

I'm in that stage right now. Thanks for the picture.. I like the plug wire looms. Are those from Summit too?

Looms are from Summit, but the brand is R&M Specialties.

Thanks, riptide.

I'll see if I can scrounge up an installed picture.
