If i want to learn a rolling harrier with my 70" 3d-hobbies plane, or tick tock my T-rex 600e, i first do so on Real Flight, a fantastic computer simulation for R/C planes & helicopters.
Needless to say, if you enjoy racing cars then the simulation benchmark is Gran Turismo 6. Combined with a Logitech G27 steering wheel & pedals (must have) there is no better way IMO to get acclimated to driving lines of a track and handling characteristics of over 1000 different autos. . GT6 added quite a few new tracks, and Willow Springs big track & Streets of willow are 2 of those and happen to be my most frequented tracks.

When I had my 03 Mitsubishi Evolution the best time I ran at Big Track was a 1:32. With the same setup on GT6 my best run is a 1:30.5 and that's probably because the pucker factor doesn't exist on a game. Point i'm trying to make is that in addition to the virtual handling characteristics the lap times are quite consistent with real life.

At the SEMA show 2013 GT6 awarded the 818 the best domestic award and the 818 almost made the game as a usable car. How insane would have been? Unfortunately it didn't so I was hoping to find the closest setup to the 818. Until someone who enjoys GT6 turns some legitimate lap times with their 818 at a few different tracks its anyone's guess. For now i'm racing a Lotus 111R race setup.

What car do you think the 818 will perform closest to?

The Lotus Elise is probably the closest on that list. Mid engine, rear drive, 1600lbs, 160hp.
