Can someone tell me if I need to run a ground from the Boyd tank sending unit to the chassis. I am trying to program the Speedhut gauge and it's not registering properly. I have the white from the gauge going to the larger lug on the sending unit and the black to the smaller and it's not functioning properly. Thanks guys

Weird. The Hotrod I'm building right now only had one terminal. I assumed it was ground by virtue of being bolted in.

Is it baffled also? I put about an 1/8. Of a tank of gas in it and the pickup tube isn't getting fuel. My fuel pressure gauge isn't registering anything.

Okay, the gauge is working...how and or why, I don't know. It just started to work. I still am not getting fuel up to the front at the fuel pressure regulator. Was I supposed to remove something from the pickup tube port on the tank? Correct me if I'm wrong, isn't it just a 3/8" tube going down to the bottom of the tank?

hi evan I have boyd tank w/ speed hut gauges also. I ran American autowire panel but I do have a ground from sending unit directly to chassis and everything works fine.

Thanks Ang, it started working with the ground attached which is part of the Ron Francis harness...at least it seems to be working. My problem now is the fuel pump isn't pulling any fuel. I certainly transferred enough fuel from the other tank, probably at least an 1/8 of a tank and the fuel pump won't draw any fuel. Not sure what thats all about, it worked fine with the other tank. Any ideas fellas?
