I bought an ffr a few weeks back and i can't tell if it's a MK1 or MK2. question# 2 SW speedo do I need an adaptor for the reverse winding?
Take a look at the door hinges. If they look like one angled piece of metal, then you probably have a MK-I, if the hinges have a pair of thin metal arms, then it's probably a MK-II. Is your speedometer a "reverse" with 0-mph on the right and the speed increases counter-clockwise? That's when you would the adapter.
You can also check directly with FFR giving them your FFR number. It should be something like FFR1111K.

Thanks...I tlooks like I have a MK1... Do you know where I might find an adaptor?
Here is one from Summit Racing: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ATM-990340/
But I'd check with Breeze, Fortes and some of the supporting vendors first.

Is it actually a cable drive speedo? Electric ones don't require any adapter.
What's the FFR frame number stamped on your car?
