Currently converting one of the first 2000 spec racers MK 2 to a streetable car. Interested in suggestions/parts. Currently 302- 347 stroker, 5 speed, yellow, Pocono raced lightly. Looking for leather seats to replace high back kirkeys, wood wheel, tires (17"), tonneau, and parts including wiper assembly, turn indicator assembly, and misc NYS Dot requirements for registration. Thank you

I can help you with the NYS inspection process. It's not hard but you do have to cross T's and dot your I's. FYI, you do not have to have mechanical wipers installed, "Speedway" manual wipers will meet the requirements.

You will also have to be able to show where the engine and trans came from. receipts are a good start.

Pat, thank you for the "Upstate Cobra" association connection-- will do. Also it appears as if I will need both wipers as the car has recently been converted from the racing screen to a windshield. I can not find if this is true or a single setup much like you pointed out is the key. I will not be installing a top or side windows. I also wonder about the most expedient way to to do the defroster, as it will only be a fair weather car for us. Appreciate the help, Dana
