I rolled on bed liner on the outside of the foot boxes and it will not stay on the edges , I think it may be from the silicone even after I cleaned it good with acetone. Any ideas on fixing this problem it looks horrible?

I would buy some silicone eater - this will remove silicone completely. I don't know if there is another type of sealent that the liner will adhere to. Interesting to see what other guys have done.

"Wash" off as much as possible and "skuff" the surface to gain adhesion.

Bedliner won't stick to silicone (I know... thanks captain obvious). You need to remove as much silicone as possible (only the little strips in the cracks left there) and coat it with a (high quality) primer. The cheap primer won't stick either, but if you get the decent stuff it will (aka don't go to K-mart to buy it, but anything from an automotive color supply house will work). Then after the primer dries take 68GT500's advice and scuff the surface with a 500 grit... gently (don't go through the primer, just etch it - if you go through, you need to re-coat). Wash it with soap and water, allow to dry and re-coat the bedliner. You'll be a happy man.

I don't know if the edges would show through the bed liner, but maybe use some aluminum tape on the corners. Then put the bed liner over that. Probably a last resort option, but that tape sticks forever if applied to a clean surface.

Hi. Guys, I did get the problem fixed with a lot of extra work, I would have primered and coated with bed liner before mounting on frame if I knew before what I know now.
