Got the Auto meter gauges and Ron Francis wiring with my complete kit. Connector hooked up to T5 tranny green and grey wires in connector. Green wire hooked up to speedo gauge but speedo does not work. Grey wire doesn't look like it's supposed to be hooked up unless I have EFI. Any thoughts?

The speedo circuit requires a signal and ground. Doesn't matter which is which at the sensor. Sounds like you have an open circuit to me.

Ground the Grey wire then?

Ground the Grey wire then?

My Mk4 build has Speedhut gauges. It had two wires for the signal. The white wire is the pulse wire, and I hooked this to the Dk. Green from the speed sensor. The black wire says "Optional sensor ground. If your sensor has a ground terminal, hook up to the black wire." Here I attached the grey wire from the sensor. My build is still underway, but I have confirmed the speedo is working.

If your Autometer speedo only has one wire, and it's connected through the harness to the Dk. Green wire from the speed sensor, then I agree you need to ground the grey wire. Found this thread over on the other forum that seems to confirm this. http://www.ffcars.com/forums/21-ffr-type-65-coupe/256629-speedometer-wiring.html
