Hello

i'm the proud owner of the 33 made on CAR WARRIORS - the gray aircraft look.
car is in excellent shape. barely 300 miles.
alway working perfect with 302 ford racing engine, MSD, edelbroke carb etc...

BUT
the other day i just wanted to burn out, and during the burn out, the engine just shut down....
since then, impossible to start it.
when you turn the ignition ON, electric fan starts, lights etc...
but NOTHING.

checked the fuses... to the bet of my knowledge, they seem to be ok...
sometimes when the parking is not engaged properly, it makes exactely the same effect.
light, electricity and everything but no start.
this time of course i made sure PARKING was engaged, but still nothing.

any idea ?
something i didn't check ? or maybe it has happened to someone here ?
i feel like a failure to bring it to my mechanic, it should be such a little thing....

in Advance, THANKS SO MUCH for taking the time to read/reply...

all the best,
ROCK ON 33 (and FF cars)

Because it died while it was running, I don't think it has anything to do with the park interlock switch. I would make sure all the wires are still attached to the starter. Also to the separate solenoid which is probably mounted on the inside firewall.
If everything checks out, try jumping the starter. Unplug the small wire going to the starter solenoid. Jump that terminal to the large battery wire right next to it and see if it cranks.
If it does, your problem is in the ignition switch or its associated wiring.

Let's hope you didn't eat a rod. With such low miles, the shock of the burnout could do havoc with unseated parts. If you jump the starter and it does not crank, you have bigger problems.

Can you turn the engine over by hand?
