I will be receiving my 818 from Stewart in a week or two and realize that I might have to move it a short distance (about a mile) from truck to my garage. I dont think the truck will fit in my drive.

Will the 818 fit in my 5 x 8 utility trailer or will I need something larger?

Thanks for sharing any info or experiences you have had.

If someone doesn't beat me to it, I'll measure mine (body and frame) tomorrow for you.

The photos in the build section will give you an idea of how it is packed. Did you get crated or uncrated? I picked up uncrated.

You also get about 10 good sized cardboard boxes that fill the back of a Ford F350 including the back seat.

Is the trailer flat or does it have sides? At 5ft wide it might be a bit narrow if it has side rails. When Lee's 818 was delivered the Stewart driver wasn't able to deliver to the site. Lee's friends neighbor let us use his trailer. It was more like 6X12. We used the drivers dolly, strapped it down and drove it to his build site.

I remeasured the trailer. It is actually 6x8 and has sides. Thanks for the input.

Phil, maybe my experience will be some help. I picked up my 818 at Stewart's Phoenix warehouse to save a few days. I rented a U-Haul 6 x 12 trailer. At Stewart they lowered the 818 into the trailer, onto my chassis dolly, and it fit - just barely into the 6-foot width. But, at home I didn't have an overhead lift so I had to remove the body panels before I could roll it out the tailgate and down the ramp because the rear gate was only 5 feet wide. So, if your trailer has side walls make sure they are 6 feet apart and the gate & ramp is also 6 feet, plus some wheels underneath to get it out. At the time, of course, I was so excited to get my new baby into my garage that the extra work was fun.

Thanks AZPete. I will probably do the same thing since I don't think my trailer is long enough.
