As I near the end of my coupe build project I have started thinking about other things to do.

One of my ideas is to put together a coffee table book of Type 65 Coupes.

I am open to suggestions but my plan is to feature a variety of coupe builds with 1-4 pages of pictures and text for each build (depending on the number of coupe owners interested in participating).

Once I have some idea of the number interested I can formalize the format.

The plan would be to make enough copies for all the participants and charge only the cost of production and shipping.

No timeline at this point. I would first have to collect pictures and work with each owner on the captions and text.

What do you think? Worth doing?

Not a Coupe owner (yet) but I would get one if/when they become available.

This isn't an overnight project...I still have a day job....

I just thought it would be nice to collate some pictures with a few captions for each car.

We can do one page per car or something like that. It's entirely up to the person contributing the pictures. Identifying data optional.

No profit to be made by me.

I am working on one for my coupe build.

Making it public would require approval by all the contributors but I agree it would be a nice collection of images.

I think that is a great idea. As mine is almost done I would be happy to contribute my coupe information towards this project.

I did this as a suggestion from Juan Lopez-Bonilla using Blurb. The mindset was to create a book that you would be proud to display at home or at a car show. This turned out to be an outstanding piece that complements the car. Such a great way to showcase all the hard work that has gone into the project. Best viewed in full screen mode.
I hope you enjoy it.

I made a book for my Dad and I after I finished our car using iPhoto on my Mac. It is a great thing to do to top off a build.

I would be happy to contribute to your project.

Update:

We have 24 interested participants so far and I have received 6 full contributions. If you or someone you know (I never thought I would actually ever use that phrase!) is interested please have them contact me through this forum or the other forum.

It would be nice to provide some depth to the coupe book by showing the diversity in build types.

Most of the traffic is on the other forum but I can post periodic updates here.

Thanks,

Marc

So far so good!!!

1) We have 11 great submissions so far and another 10 or more gathering pictures.
2) Photos are mostly of completed cars with a few tastefully added pictures of build parts.
3) Everyone has contributed the answers to the questionnaire and a few have provided a brief text about their coupe.
4) A few have sent along at least one picture of themselves alongside their coupe. Nice touch.

***If you can help contact coupe owners and let them know to PM me I'll take it from there.***

Some of the completed coupes in the forum archives have sold or the owners may have strayed from the forums (or taking the winter off?). If you know them or have some other way to contact them, please let them know.

Thanks

Marc

FYI

17 submissions so far and at least another 8 on the way. Quite a few that I hadn't seen before. Should be a great collection of Photos.
