First of all , contact your insurance.
Even damage inflicted by you is covered.
Then cut down the tree.
Good luck.

Man I feel for you. Did something similar with my roadster when after a leg injury decided to see if I could operate the clutch since the ffr nationals were going on and I wanted to attend. Climbed into the car, my very swollen leg seem to be able to push the clutch pedal in ok so I thought I'd back the car out of the garage, I guess I should have remembered to close the door! Door got caught on the opening and before falling on the ground fractured the body, lucky for me the hinge weld snapped before ripping up to much fiberglass. MAN I WAS PISSED with myself!! I was so mad I could not sleep and got up at 4am and hammered the hinge back in shape, had my friend weld it up and made it to the show, and it still pisses me off! :-)
It's repairable so hang in thereand I hope the insurance pays for it.

Reading this thread is tougher than watching someone get hit in the balls. I gotta step away from this thread.

worked all day saturday cleaning cars, makes me feel like I wasted my time. If it had been my F 360 I would have not
been this cool about it.
OUCH!!
The tree can't be fixed, cut it down! That's one reason I'm installing a back up camera but with the tree off to the side that may not have helped.

Don't beat yourself up too much. Any competent fiberglass repair shop will have it looking like new again in no time. They can use the other side as a template to make a mold, if necessary. Your insurance should cover it. While the car is at the shop, cut the tree down, install a rear view mirror (or a rear view camera with the audible proximity alarm), and have a rear bumper installed...

Find a good tree cutter. You don't want any more damage from that tree like my next door neighbor's experience when the tree fell on the garage!!!
