Put the rims on just for fun!
I got a quote for Nitto's installed for 1 K. DOT approved. Anything else I should know about street tires?

That is a fun stage of the build.

Just my $.02, don't get them mounted unless they have a machine that's "touchless" - Most tire mounting machines drag around the rim and are operated by people who don't care that they're scratching your expensive rims, but there are shops out there that have the touchless machines. They charged me $50/wheel for mounting (and balancing) on one of these machines, but I feel it was worth it. Believe it or not it was a Discount Tire that had the machine, but I had to call like ten of them before I found one that had the machine, not all DT's have them.

Wait till you put tires on it an put it on the ground for the first time. Special feeling.

Thanks! I'll check on the machine they use. I got a quote for Nitto tires, 1K installed.

Was it somebody local. I am going to need to find some tires soon.

Touchless would be nice of course but most of the machines I am familiar with use a hard plastic piece to stretch the tire over the rim. So yes, it does touch but it is harmless.

In the past I did have someone bend a rim. They told me the rim was bad. I was young, I got screwed. I think I might ask to stand next to the installer when they do it. If not the deal is off.

Though the "touchless" machines are nice, an attentive person can mount them correctly on any machine...I've done tons over the years. Sadly, most tire shops are filled with a bunch of kids doing all the work and they usually don't even notice when they tear something up.
