I've got my book of ideas and sketches. Off to the local, recommended, upholstery shop to work out all the final details. Look forward to it all coming together smoothly and quickly.

subscribed. i may have missed it, but what are you looking to have done? "Mild" (piping, colored thread, etc) or "wild" (fully custom)? Can't wait to see the results.

Looking at tan and black interior, with embossing on the doors and behind the seats (this is where the big suprise will be) Black carpet in the foot wells only, the rest will be the tan/leather look. Possibly black stripes thru the seat.
Estimate was $2000 including seats. They are busy at the moment, hope to get it started soon though.

Good luck with the upholstery. Any chance you can post your artwork?
I would really like to see what you are thinking about having done!
Did they say when they would get started?
Good luck with the work!

Steve

Is there a gallery or section dedicated to interior upholstery? Would love to see what some of you have done with the interior. I am interested in a clean modern luck with true carbon fiber dash.

Sorry the shop has all my artwork.. but i just received a pic from the shop owner.. Things are moving along. Seats are done, but not in, they are tan with black stripes. Doors will be tan with the same embossing as the transmission tunnel. Should be done Friday or Monday.

What kind of replica do you have? Nothing looks familiar to me in that pic. The embossing is pretty cool. That was a unique idea!
Good luck, WEK.

That looks really cool. Like the seats a lot.
Curious...where are the seat belts? I don't see a spot for them in the rear wall.

That looks so much better than what I had pictured in my head. Love the stripes in the seats. I'll bet you can't stop staring at it.

Thanks, i'm going to try it with just a 3" lap harness. If i think i need to upgrade to a 4 point harness i'll have to cut and add bezels to finish it.

Safety police alert...install the full harness and use the crotch belt too.
You'll be shocked at how more secure you feel. With just a lap belt, a small fender bender will put your face in the steering wheel.
Finish Line sells a cross bar that will bolt to the roll bar for the upper belts. It's probably not as safe as having the belt coming through the rear wall (because of the eye-bolts), but probably better than no shoulder belts at all.
