When might it happen? What will it include? How often does FF include IRS in the sale??

I haven't seen IRS included in the FFR Sales before, but they did give me a credit on the straight-axle toward the IRS upgrade when I ordered in Jan of this year.

In my case, I decided I'd buy when the next sale was announced - sure enough, I received a new DVD and promo flier in the mail the next day. Guess it was meant to be, so I placed my order that day.

I am the official FFR tour guide today as the crew is in Ohio for the Goodguys Nationals. Still, I saw this post and figured I'd reply. The real fact is that we have made a concerted effort to break away from our traditional sales/special season stuff. The reason is simply that our costs have gone up so much that we really cant do what we did in the past. We havent had a sale for 7 months and we will not likely have one in the future. Maybe for guys at a show (show special) or during events like the Open House, but the real truth is that our ability to do these is not as good as before. We have survived a very difficult economy and now we are looking at ways to grow our business. Product quality and continuous improvement has been our wingman. The new 818 and derivative evolution to our products HAS to continue. I can talk more on this subject, but for now I wanted you guys to know the math which drives the sale, or lack there-of.

derivative evolution to our products
Can you explain the term "derivative evolution" in more detail :D

Are you suggesting that an FIA version would be a derivative of the Mk4 line or evolutionary? I was being redundant, I was being redundant. I should have written evolutionary. The FIA model would be a derivative product. The 5.0 Coyote install kit or new options/improved designs on, say, the Hot Rod or another ffr model would be evolutionary. We dont have any plans for major revisions to any cars right now, but the new 818 is definitrely affected by on-going engineering work on little things that we do to stay ahead of the rest of the pack.
P.S. Thanks for the work on the original cars last weekend Bill!

There you go again, throwing around the phrase "FIA" again, you know "Da Bunnies"(tm) aren't going to like hearing about this. :p ..........

PS: Can't wait to see the show, you'll have to give us a heads up when it is going to air.......

Good to know. I figured once I ordered my kit, it would be my luck the next month there would be a sale. ;) So after years of planning and saving, I think I'll be pulling the trigger this year. Yay!
