Help needed from anyone installing late model mustang engine in Mk 4 Kits.

I just finished installing my engine and trans. It's a 2005 V8 3 Valve modular mated to a Tremec 3650 Tranny.

My question relates to the sump clearance or at least lack of it. Should I have a new shallow sump? If so where from? Which one etc.

Also the serpentine belt is apparently too long. It's 101.3 inches Motorcraft JK61013BA. 25918

Followed the routing diagram but clearly there is a problem.

Thanks in advance guys. I know you can help.

Looks like you're missing the PS pump in the drivers side, right?

That certainly would make sense as I have the FF Manual rack and the engine was shipped without the PS pump or AC compressor. The question therefore is can I either get a dummy pulley much like I replaced the AC compressor with or buy a shorter belt?

In the latter case how long?

Stock routing looks like this:

It appears you can just get a shorter belt and route without the PS pulley at all. Get a piece of string and wrap the routing. Then subtract 0.5-1" for the tensioner and head to the local auto parts store. They'll be able to get you a belt based on length.

I have had good luck w/ PepBoys. They seem to be very willing to sell you three belts (your guess, one longer, and one shorter) and then take back the ones you don't use. I have taken them back myself and also noted that some I have bought were probably someone's trial belt based on the somewhat greasy box.
