With the 8" of snow we received on Wednesday, I was not sure how much I would be able to do this past weekend. Fortunately, the temps hit 60-65 on Saturday and Sunday, so I was able to continue wet sanding. About once a week, I start the coupe and let it idle to temp. It starts really good and settles into a nice idle. I installed the FAST EZ EFI last summer, and it really has not had a chance to learn, other than the base tune. Hopefully I can get it on the road soon and dial it in. Here's a short clip.

Nice Video, it looks like you will be on the road before this year's over with.

BTW I noticed that it looks like your building the coupe in a self storage place, have to ask how's is that working out? Are you doing the build covert style, or do you own the place

Presto51,

that is a self storage facility. I sold my house a few years ago and downsized dramatically. Not having a garage, I moved into this space, 20x30 with 18' ceilings. the only drawback is it's wired for power, but it's connected to the outside lights and they are on a timer, so they only work when the lights come on. I have a generator and that is working out fine.
An interesting note, I've met owners of an '03 Cobra, '69 AMX, and '69 Camaro all stored around me. some Saturdays, we have our own private Cars and Coffee. the complex is fenced, and you need a security code to enter. They also keep a record of who comes and goes.

Hi, Rob:
looks good, you'll be driving soon. I like your dash and it sounds good. How do you like the Fast EZE? I looked at them before going carb.

Last time we didnt have snow was in November.

Regards, Mike

Kind of curious, what version is your coupe. Looks like the gray body one as the driver's footbox looks different than mine which is the black body version.

Mike,
I originally had a carb and could not get it to run. A friend switched his 68 Vette to the FAST EFI, so I bought his carb. Ran great on his Vette, but still would not idle on mine. After lots of thought, I pulled the trigger and bought the basic kit. I already had the pump, return line and regulator. Out of the box, it started up and settled into a nice idle. I have it set at 850 rpm, 43 PSI on the fuel pressure. My problem is not being on the road, I cannot tweak the AF or the numbers at WOT. That will have to wait until early summer, fingers crossed.

Now, my life is wet sanding and buffing. Then I will install the headliner and hatch carpet before putting the body back onto the frame.

Bill,
It was an older grey body, #189. I took delivery of it in December 2005.

At Christmas, I was hoping to buy Russ's footbox vent tube, but with the footbox change, lack of demand(I guess) and parts availability, he said he stopped making them. I will need to come up with something, I like the look of the tube.

That should be pretty easy to install with a short length of exhaust pipe maybe? I have a couple plastic waste gates hanging around somewheres you might be able to use.

Thanks Bill,
I also have the waste gates left over from my roadster's fresh air vents. I have some aluminum flanges for the body mounts, I just need to come up with an angled flange for the tube to mount to the footbox.

Sounds great Rob! I have the Fast EZ also and must say I like it so far. Like you have not been able to drive it on the road yet so still need to tune further.
