Hi all,
I was just sitting here sucking on Mai Tai's thinking I should let everyone know what 7568 and I have been up to. She arrived in September 2011 and I thought it was straight forward enough and I would have it on the road by the summer of 2012. Well that was not to be as it was one slow down after another and even a stoppage for awhile some personal and most parts conflicts. The largest being the delivery of the coyote from Troy Ladd at Hollywood Hot Rods and finding out that the engine was physically to big for the engine bay. I had to trim 1" off the 1/4" plate that makes the front wall of the drivers side footbox. I also had to redesign both footboxes to fit around and under this massive mod motor. Well long story short is I finally got to hear the coyote howl on the 11th of January this year before heading off on vacation. I can't wait to get back and bleed the brakes and clutch so as to get some road testing done if the weather cooperates. Here's a short and bad video of the first start and you can also see the colors I chose and some of the body mods like frenched tailights, removal of the rear tag and light from the trunk lid and side vents. Enjoy.
Regards,
Andy

Andy:
Very cool car.... I'm sure you are anxious to get it finished and on the road.
I especially like your stacks... I'm considering getting a similar set up for my MkII.

Wow - very nice!
That must be a first for the FFR roadster re the coyote with 8 stack intake. I will be interested to see if you need to modify the hood for the stacks (?)
Good to see the wave of aftermarket mods for the coyote - future is wide open.
Hang on!
Great work

Great engine. SOHC valve covers and stacks on a cutting edge engine. I love it.

Andy,
That is one BAD A$$ motor! Very different dash layout. Quality of the built looks exceptional! Can't wait to see it all together.

Hi all,
Thanx for all the comments. I tried to marry the new with the old and put a few personal touchs in to make it unique but not to mess with the original style to much.
Jester,
The stacks will fit without any issues as I had it all together for the body fit before paint and without the scoop at that time. I also made the manifolds with an 11degree tilt towards the middle just like the "chicken farmer" did to keep them in the scoop area.
Well I spent the day at the USS Arizon in Pearl Harbour today. Wow a lot of feelings there. I can't imagine the feelings there on that morning 72 years ago. All I can say is thanx to all who have and who are serving to keep us all safe. I'm leaving the 80 degree weather to go bck to 10 degree weather back in the great white north in the morning. I am however going back to continue on the greatest model ever. I hope to be done by late April.
Regards,
Andy

Whew. I thought this was going to be a thread about how your FFR was hit by the second ugliest Chevy ever made!

Funny you should ask at this time as I recently just sent grad info to FFR. It's posted on their facebook page. As far as the motor goes I'm not sure what info you're looking for but here a clip of the info I sent to them.
"I had a new 2012 Ford 5.0L coyote crate motor shipped to Hollywood Hot Rods where Troy Ladd devolved the engine to look period correct. He then added spacers to accommodate the original 427 SOHC valve covers and created an eight stack injection manifold with the correct 11 degree inward tilt so the stacks were inside the hood scoop like the originals. The engine is controlled with a pair of F.A.S.T. boxes and sports Ingleese stacks covered with BBR filters"

That's where I saw your car and searched this forum and FFCars for some pictures or information on the motor.
Looks like a very creative motor project, I just wanted to see some more pictures.
I remember them doing a similar treatment on the red pickup: http://www.myrideisme.com/Blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/Sema-car-show-Ford-coyote.JPG

Wow! That is one nice build you have done. As others, love the stacks and the colour is cool too. Must have a cost a penny or two to get that engine looking like that.

Hello,
Troy does some nice work with stacks. I think he has 4or5 coyote builds under his belt that I know of. He's not quick and some might say he's not cheap either but you definetly get what you had visioned. These are not the best photos but I didn't have the time to search through all my photos but I think you can get an idea from them as photos really don't do it justice. I think the biggest plus was the dyno tune. After about 4 hours it runs amazing and a hint to all with coyotes is that they really come to life above 5000 rpm.

Andy
