Hi Guys,
I am going to put a Ford Racing 363 crate in my MKIV. The depth of the oil pan for rear sump is 9.25 inches. The max depth for the front sump pan is 7.5. Can a front sump oil pan fit in the MKIV? The tech support at Ford racing says it can in a FFR. Any experience here?
Thanks!

My roadster has a front sump pan from Canton.

Like Doug, I am using a front sump pan from Canton as well, no fit issues at all. Reduces the length of the oil pump pick-up...shorter path from sump to pump.

I prefer rear sump. Figuring that no baffles are perfect, I'd rather have oil while accelerating than braking. It's a Canton I got in 07 or so from Breeze. They have a different style now which looks to be an improvement.

I couldn't decide. So went with front and back sump. :)
This is a Moroso 20509 7qt pan. Has pickups in the front and back. My builder mainly uses Moroso pans, and this is one they have that is 7-1/2 inches deep, required to not go below the 4 inch tubes. So we went with it. Actually intended to clear a Fox body Mustang. But works well here also. Just dropped it into the Mk4 a couple weeks ago.
