02 wiring harness questions

I want to start dieting my wire harness and have some questions.

Connector B82 under the dash is labeled as a Diagnosis connector. diagnose what? Its not the OBD

Connector B250 Flash memory connector. Any ideas?

Connector F16 in front. Sub fan connector. Whats the difference between the regular on and this one?

integrated module. What is it and do I need it?

Any harm in completely removing all the security wires?

Integrated module controls things like lights, door chimes, and other misc items. Some year WRX need to have a jumper installed to write to the ecu. That may be the flash memory connector. Other years had green connectors that had to be connected. Not sure which is which on the 02.

Mechie. I have the green connectors too. Can I eliminate the integrated module?

If you dont want want things like door chimes, security module, and a few other features you should be able to. I dont recall all that it controls. On my 06 my ecu has an immobilizer that I believe needs the integrated module.

So I'm about to start on my wire diet (good or bad), I have gone through the wiring documents and I have attempted to flag the connectors that I intend on removing, I'm building a "R" version but I still want the lights, turn signals, brake light, head and tail lights, etc. I what to eliminate the ABS, Airbags, any door wiring, trunk wires (except license plate), interior hookups, heater, defroster, seats, locks, etc. I have marked the connectors in yellow that I plan to remove. So looking for any guidance on folks that have done this and if I'm on the right track and if you notice anything I need to remove or have flagged for removal and should not.


I have a stock '02 WRX harness that I will be dieting.
