Does anyone have a strong opinion for or against the FFR Afco radiator? Is there a better radiator or a three row I should consider? Have a 347 EFI stroker if that matters...
Also, recommendations on the Breeze mounting and associated hardware?
Thanks, Chris

There are perhaps cheaper options than the FFR Afco radiator if you want to experiment, but I don't think there are better ones. It fits perfectly, the hose connections are right where you want them to be, it cools even the biggest engine setups (especially with a shroud) and it's a quality piece. I used a Mustang radiator on my Mk3 build, but went with the Afco on my Mk4 build. The Mk4 isn't done yet, but it's installed and I'm very happy with it. Highly recommended and a nice upgrade from my Mk3 build. I also recommend the Breeze shroud for the Afco radiator. And while you're at it, he has some great hose hook-up options for the Afco radiator.
I absolutely recommend the Breeze lower radiator mount. With the standard FFR setup, the bottom kind of hangs in space until you install the body and the radiator sheet metal. The Breeze lower mount gives a solid mounting during and after your build. I used it on my Mk4 build. I personally chose not to use the upper mount, because I didn't find it as important. Others can share their reasons.

Everything I have read says the FFR rad is a great piece. I thought I would save a little money and ordered a mustang replacement all aluminum w/ a 2 inch core from Summit. Wish I hadn't. Worst $40 I have ever saved. If I wasn't capable of welding aluminum it would have had to go back because the top hose nipple was over the mount for the coilover w/o enough room for the hose.

I got the FFR aluminum radiator for my MKIII build. It is a quality piece. I built a stand alone bottom bracket with rubber bumpers. You could go with a custom radiator from R Davis or one of the others but it is not necessary in my opinion. I think FFR nailed it on this one.
Thanks,

I agree with edwardb. I have the FFR radiator and had no issues with it, my motor runs cool and never a sign of getting hot even in +95* weather.
I fabricated a lower mount (similar to the Breeze setup) and also fabricated a radiator shroud out of aluminum from plans on the other site. Both work great, no complaints. I also did not use the Breeze upper mount, didn't see the need. I inserted rubber grommets in all of the mounting holes (2 holes on each side of the radiator and added a small sheet of rubber on the frame.) Solid, but isolated from the frame.

Agree with the other guys. I've used the FFR radiator on 3 roadster builds and coupled it with the Breeze shroud on all. I make my own lower supports.

I sincerely appreciate all the advice from everyone; that is what I will go with - both FFR and Breeze!
Thanks everyone!
