Dave Smith,
A couple of years ago I was at qualifying at the indy500 and noticed car clubs were invited to attend
and park in a special place at the track for viewing. I was there when the GT40 club brought
around 50 cars. It would be cool to see Factory Five cars show up from all over ( all types)
for this event too. I know it takes planning with the speedway but would be worth to effort.
just an idea.

What could be a better idea? This is a terrific thought if Dave could put something together! Here is something that NO KIT CAR COMPANY can boast of an INDY history reunited at the brickyard than the PDG competition GTM driven by none other than Davy Jones who finished second there his rookie year! They said they would ship the car to the race for display.

Thats really a cool idea. There have been several companies approach us for "sponsorship" and it's usually a magazine/fan guide dealeo. This would be fun as the event is, or should be, on everyones bucket list. I'm in so cal and traveling til wednesday but I'll have the guys take a look at it. Dave

A little known fact about the relationship between Davy and the team. Davy drove two races in the GTM. A 4 hour in the San Francisco Region, SCCA where he co drove to a second place finish in class and fourth overall. His remarkable comeback from a devastating fire on the second lap of the 25 hour race, Davy strapped back into the car and taking the checkered flag. The team scored the final points in the WERC to capture the ES and overall championship. Davy became an important player to secure the 2013 Championship. Davy participated in the 25 hour race on three other occasions, driving a Porsche, which he put on the pole, but later had mechanical problems. He drove for an England team that fielded a Noble which retired of chassis failure. His third was in a very fast and race winner in the Grand AM Series Corvette. It never took the green as it had electrical problems and would not start. The GTM is the only race car that he finished the race as a co driver.
