Tuesday night I was watching Barrett Jackson auto auction and saw a Factory Five Roadster go across the block, it sold for $50,000; also saw a GTM go on sale a little while later, it sold for $72,000. I was encouraged that the Factory Five cars sold for more than most of the cars at the auction.

I saw that too. The announcer's originally thought the GTM was a Ferrari. They then cut away to a feature story while the GTM was being sold. I wanted to see the "live action bidding!"

I saw a "root beer" colored FFR MkIII that sold for 55k while I was walking around the grounds. It was sitting right next to another roadster (Backdraft) that went for about 52K. It looks like the prices are improving, at least, for now. I went by the Superformance display. To my surprise there was not much activity around the cars. It could have just been a lull in the action. All in all, the interest of anything C***** seems to be pretty good. Thanks, WEK.

Me too, too much fluff and ads, not enough about the cars being auctioned. Also, could they tone down the background auctioneer's babble so we can hear the car descriptions by the announcers?
Did anyone see how much the Shelby American FIA Continuation car went for on Friday?

Just saw that Shelby FIA Roadster was only shown and not auctioned at B-J.

Lot #1228, FFR #6228, sold for $49,500. It's a Mk3 with 4.6L, Kenny Bell supercharger & IRS. I built it, put 9,000 miles on and then sold it at Barrett-Jackson 3 years ago at $42,900. At that price I got back the cash I spent. The guy who bought it in Jan 2011 had the Kenny Bell installed but when I saw it at B-J it looked like that's the only change. I don't know the current mileage but it shows no wear or marks so I suspect the guy didn't run it a lot. I've talked with his mechanic who said the roadster has run well but the owner fell in love with a Porsche turbo.
