Roll bar holes

I will finally be ordering my Mk 4 soon and I want the holes pre-cut, but not sure if I should get the roll bar holes cut or not. I plan to use the 1.75" Breeze ones. If they fit the holes I would prefer to order the kit with them pre-cut. Does anyone know?

All of the body cut-outs, including the roll bars, are approximate and normally undersized. You adjust to fit your build, parts used, etc. The cut-outs very easy to adjust using files, sandpaper, Dremel tool, etc. Whatever works best for you. I would recommend ordering with the cut-outs. Gives you a pretty easy starting point.

I agree with above - use the FFR cutouts as a guide. Since the Breeze bars are a bit larger, it should be easy to just use a dremel or file to get them opened to where you need them.

I went from the FFR pre-drilled holes for the 2" bar on my Mk3 down to holes that are small enough to fit plain rubber grommets around the Mk4 1 1/2" bar I'm using by simply 'glassing in the FFR holes and then cutting new ones that were quite a bit smaller. The great thing about fiberglass bodies is that it's pretty easy to work with and hard to bugger it up so bad that you or the body shop can't fix.

Are the billet grommets available for the 1 3/4" bar? If so you can make the holes 2" and the grommet will finish off the installation nicely. I have a MKII, so it came with the larger 2" bars so I made the holes 2 1/4" and covered with a grommet.

They just told me I can order the rest of the body cut outs but not the roll bar ones, if I want.

You must have a better salesman then the one I had, Because that's exactly what I wanted to do! I was told they would be happy to send me the slugs so I can glass them back in.

LOL. I will double check when I actually order. I am still waiting for Breeze to get back to me as I am hoping they can clarify.
