Crazy Custom ideas for a Roadster: Has anyone tried these?

I am think and planning, and was wondering if anyone had tried several unique modifications:

First, doors that open like this: (can it even be done?)

Any information on installing HID or LED headlights or tail lights, or doing focused beam head lights with additional decorative lights around them, perhaps similar to this:

Does anyone have detailed information on doing under car exhaust rather than pipes on the sides? I found one thread, but would like to read other ideas and opinions.

Obviously I am not currently considering a strictly traditional build. Time will tell if I decide to do any of these. Thanks for any ideas.

First within limits of your budget and how much modifications your willing to take on, much is possible. I will send you a PM shortly on some ideas for your research.

With respect to the use of LEDs, I am trying to stay to an original look so I am not going wild with LEDs, but I am using them to increase reliability of my lighting system. I plan on using LEDs for all interior lighting (foot boxes, map lights, trunk, engine compartment) and brake and turn signals. Searching the forums will yield a lot of information on LED modifications.

The headlights are the larger of the 2 standard sizes from the 60's so lots of options on the aftermarket for "fancier" bulbs, LED's, etc.

On the doors, I'd think the doors are too short to get a good swinging motion without interference and giving you enough space to get out.

A search on the "other" forum, ffcars, should reveal lots of detail on the undercar exhaust and necessary frame modification.

For the standard 7-inch headlight you can get a full LED bulb, a full HID ($$$) and even bi-zenon setups. Vintage Mustang vendors offer all of these. You can even get housings with LED halos. CJ Pony Parts offers one that is like 16 different LED colors and has a friggin remote control to change the color and strobe pattern remotely at a cruise night or something!
