Hoping a vendor or member can help me out here. I've searched everywhere and can't figure this one out...I'm almost complete with HR #422 and want to use peep mirrors on my hardtop. I have the FFR window package so I need a mirror that will surface mount to the hardtop just above where the window seats out of the way of the windows. There must be a simple answer but I can't find a mirror arm that has the 90 degree bend and surface mounts. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks to Terry Riebel at The Dream Car Company a vendor here on the forum. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

I used the factory 5 bullet style on my 33 mounted on the door works just fine with the arm style you cannot turn them in far enough I also have the windows. If you decide to go this way do not mount them with the screws provided they are sheet metal screws which I believe will not hold I used lock nuts and also used a bracket on the inside for more support

Thanks Einstein. I'm back to the door as well. A light bulb went off when Terry asked how I'd open the door with the window up if I used a peep style mirror. I feel like an idiot, but hey I'm new to this. I'll post the results of what we come up with.

You might consider mounting it on a bracket that places it ahead of the windshield. It worked well for me. The same could be done on the hard top pillar.

$5 for stick on convex mirrors from the auto parts store, fit perfect in the supplied FFR mirror housings and I can see the ground when backing up and traffic behind and to the side of me.

Thanks Tim and Arrowhead. After driving the car this summer with the harness and realizing movement is limited, I decided to mount the mirrors on the door so that I will have great vision both with the hardtop on and off. Terry Riebel is designing a diamond shaped stem (5") with convex glass which should help a lot. These should be a nice add on.
