My '33 has the fenders from MPD Fiberbody Werx. Here's what they look like:

It seems I get asked about once a month from where we got them. Originally I bought them from Lang K, but he had them made by MPD. REcently I was checking again to see about them and this is the reply I got:
"We still make the style fenders you have on your car. Mpdfiberbodywerx.com"
I wasn't sure this supplier was posted anywhere else, so thought I'd put a note here for them.
Best regards,
Tom

Tom:
How are they different form the FF5 fenders? Do the front ones install on the same brackets as the FF5 fenders? Also, if you don't mind, what wheel size and tire size did you use. I like the amount of clearance you have on the read. I have the 3-link on my car and from what I am reading, there is more body roll with the 3 link than the 4 link.
Thanks,
Craig

Hi Tom,
Beautiful care... the fenders look great and have much better profile/detail than those available from FFR. I plan on using them in my build. I noticed you used shaved-door poppers on you car as well to eliminate the exterior door handle. What brand did you use and how many pounds of pull... there are so many out there ranging from 35-80lbs. I didn't know what to order. Also, how many pounds for trunk release?
Thanks!
Tom B.

Wow, I totally missed your questions back in January. My apology!
1) The fenders are different in style in that they have body-like moldings which match into the general design of the '33.
2) The cycle fenders on the front sell with their own brackets for mounting onto the same point as the steering arms on the spindles.
3) I used 16" rims and taller sidewalls than many. However, rolling diameter was close to FFR's recommendation for their other wheel/tire combos.
4) Currently I'm using spring rates to control body sway. I'm using a variable rate spring from QA1 (175-350 #/In range) which gives a bit softer ride in a straight line but is progressive as the car corners (much like an anti-sway bar). So far this has worked well both on the street and the road courses.
I think the best ride/comfort/handling would come from less spring rate at all four corners and the addition of front/rear anti-sway bars. Dan Ruth is working on a retrofit for this, I believe.
Best regards, and sorry for the delay,
Tom

Hi Tom,
Thanks for the comments and complements. Check in with Mike Everson on the sourcing of the remote door poppers. I don't remember who the mfg is and am out-of-town, so can't dig out the info. Mike's now built 3 '33s I believe so may have tried something he likes better now.
Best regards, Tom

Tom, thank you for talking about our product. We have sold a couple of sets since your posts, all happy customers. We are still around and are here to help.
I see Lang all the time, and golf with him.
Our fenders are posted on <mpdfiberbodywerx.com> if interested. Good Xmas to all.
