AC Vents

any suggestions on placing AC vents so that they don't interfere with the evaporatorand the ducting ? I don't have the evaporator yet and want to cut the holes in the cowl for the defroster vent grills.

I'm looking at AC vents that are hidden under the dash until you need them, then they swing down and hang under the dash.
I'd like to keep the dash clean except for the six gauges. They were written up in Street Rodder magazine.
