My front brakes have not been good from the beginning and I have bled them several times and just switched to Carbotech XP8 pads. While bleeding again after pad installation, I discovered that I was not able to bleed much fluid from the front calipers. I tried bleeding the master cylinder (3/4" Wilwood purchased from Forte's for my MKIII that has a bleed screw on the rear of the cylinder). I got some purging and then it stopped. Front braking power increased a lot. I brought it back home to try bleeding more and then could not get anything else out of the master. Then I could not get anything out of the front calipers. I bought a cheap manual vacuum pump from Advance Auto, thinking that the master was air bound potentially due to an air bubble in the line from the remote reservoir but no luck. I hooked up an air mattress vacuum pump to try to pull the air out but still no luck. Have any others with a Wilwood setup had any better luck with a pressure power bleed setup? If so which one did you use and where did you get it? Any other ideas how to get this setup to work correctly? Thanks in advance.

Had the same issue switched front with rear, same issue, got with ff5 tech. They got me in touch with Willwood and they sent me a new master cylinder. works great

Many thanks to Mike and Steve at Forte's!! They sent me a cap for my CNC reservoirs that has a Schraeder air valve installed in it. I put it on the front remote reservoir and hooked up my trusty bicycle pump and pushed a bunch of air out of the master cylinder. Took about 20 minutes and about 6 cycles to get it all out. Bled the calipers and now "Baby got brakes!!" Woo hoo. Stops on a dime and gives 11 cents change! Ok maybe that is an exaggeration. After many hours of screwing around with it the car stops like it is supposed to. Bedded the new Carbotech XP8 pads on the way home from work tonight. Two weeks to the next autocross. Will have to learn to drive it all over again but that is a good problem now. Again, many thanks to Mike and Steve!!
