The part where Dave talked about the lasting effects of this build , well, those are profound words. I sold my car 3 years ago, and I still look at the forums every day. The friends will last a life time. I see this is your first post.. ha.. the first of many.

Hi Raceral.
It was my first post. I hope to put in my order next January, you know saving my nickles. This will be my first build. I owned a Everett Morrison cobra a few years ago that I purchased from someone who built it himself. I lOVED the car, paint was awesome but mechanically lets just say it had issues. I've wanted to build one, so now I have my chance. The biggest question I've been dealing with has been the power plant. I had a 302 in the Everett before but it seemed to be lacking in performance so I've been going back and forth between a coyote engine or a 351. Honestly after watching the DVD I've made my decision, coyote is the way to go.
Now I have to face my last hurdle to deal with and that would be choosing a color, the last one was Viper blue and white strips. So I'm thinking of painting it gun metal gray and light gray strips... I saw and episode of overhaulin, where Chip used sand paper and ran it down teh strips the semi wet strips to give it a texture it was a real cool effect.
Its a good problem to have:rolleyes:
